You will be responsible for managing the various technical aspects of the project plans and specifications. You will be responsible for:

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the execution of the work in collaboration with the Superintendent, engineers and managers;
  • Be enterprising and active in day-to-day activities;
  • Support the site team (Superintendent, foremen, technicians);
  • Ensure quality monitoring with the entire team in place; Assist the QA lead;
  • Monitor concrete production and related work;
  • Detect technical problems in drawings and 3D models;
  • Prepare OHS procedures and methods;
  • Carry out technical follow-up with the various teams;
  • Ensure the application of the quality plan as a whole;
  • Check with our teams, subcontractors and the independent laboratory the conformity of our work;
  • Material tracking, orders, deliveries, etc.;
  • Be proactive and bring ideas and solutions to the multiple underground problems and challenges we encounter on a daily basis;
  • Actively participate in site meetings;
  • Any other related tasks.

Requirements:

  • University degree in engineering;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience on construction site;
  • Experience on a road infrastructure project;
  • Functional knowledge of planning and control methods;
  • Good knowledge of many common engineering methods and techniques;
  • Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
  • Bilingualism both orally and in writing (French and English).

    NouvLR-221 | Project Engineer – Building

    You will be responsible for coordinating all stages of a construction project: collaboration with subcontractors, close relations with the client, cost and schedule follow-up. You will have the following responsibilities:

    Responsibilities :

    • Coordinate the work in collaboration with the superintendent (schedule, labor needs, required equipment, etc.);
    • Manage plans, specifications and addendums;
    • Manage changes and directives related to the project.
    • List activities to enable preparation of the prevention program;
    • Organize and facilitate site meetings as required;
    • Assist in the administrative follow-up (costs, contingencies, claims, etc.);
    • Follow up on technical matters (technical data sheets, inspections, etc.);
    • Follow-up on change orders (estimation, submission to the client, negotiation, issuance of orders and/or contract);
    • Coordinate the preliminary inspection of the work in collaboration with the superintendent;Coordinate pre-operational audit in collaboration with the Superintendent;

     

    Requirements:

    • Have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction engineering;
    • Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
    • Have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in similar functions;
    • Have strong management, communication, negotiation and problem solving skills;
    • Possess excellent analytical skills, be an excellent communicator and be able to show leadership;
    • Be bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.

      NouvLR-227 | Engineer in railway electrification system (OCS)

      As a Railway Electrification System Engineer (catenary), you will be responsible for coordinating all electrification stages of the project. Your main tasks will be as follows:

      Responsibilities:

      • Coordination with the team of engineers present on site;
      • Work planning;
      • Coordination with the different interfaces to the system;
      • Management of catenary installation operations and monitoring of site progress;
      • Ensure the application of health, safety and environment instructions and procedures;
      • Perform performance, cost and quality control monitoring;
      • Technical review and validation of the conformity of the installations;
      • Design coordination;
      • Reporting;
      • Participate in the treatment of deficiencies and non-conformities;
      • Participate in the testing of the catenary system;
      • Performs various related duties and participates in support of team members.

      Requirements:

      • Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electromechanical engineering or other relevant field;
      • Have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in catenary;
      • ASP Construction training;
      • Have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience in data planning/collection;
      • Demonstrate autonomy and leadership;
      • Ability to work in a team and be able to communicate effectively;
      • Be methodical and thorough;
      • Hold a valid driver’s license;
      • Fluency in English – an asset;
      • Fluency in oral and written French.

        Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, your primary responsibility will be the application and development of quality assurance within the project.

        Responsibilities:

        As an intern, you will provide concrete support to the civil works team by participating in the following responsibilities:

        • Participate in the supervision and follow-up of on-site work to ensure the execution of quality control by QC engineers;
        • Assist the Superintendent and engineers in their day-to-day responsibilities;
        • Document management on the quality side of the work carried out according to the Inspection and Test Plans for delivery to the client;
        • Ensure quality and production monitoring;
        • Write daily reports;
        • Any other related tasks.

        Requirements:

        • Bachelor student in civil engineering;
        • Have a first experience in civil engineering in the construction industry;
        • Hold the ASP construction card;
        • Have a valid driver’s license;
        • Have a good knowledge of the Ms Office suite;
        • Ability to work in a team;
        • Fluency in English (written and oral) – an asset;

          • Develop and comment on partial test procedures required by site conditions and/or schedules;
          • Update the database;
          • Perform other related duties.

          Requirements:

          • Degree in electrical, mechanical engineering or equivalent in progress;
